BAN vs SL 3rd ODI: Clinical Bangladesh thrash Sri Lanka, clinch series 2-1

In a riveting encounter at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, Bangladesh secured an emphatic four-wicket victory over Sri Lanka in the third and final ODI on Monday to clinch the three-match series 2-1.
Deciding to bat, Sri Lanka got off to a shaky start, with their top order batsmen splurging their wickets one after another. Middle-order batters brought the team back to scoring after Kusal Mendis and Charith Asalanka scored (29) and (37) respectively. Down the order, Janith Liyanage scored his century, bringing (101) unbeaten and powering the side to (235).
Bangladesh bowlers Taskin Ahmed, Mustafizur Rahman and Mehidy Hasan Miraz took three, two and two wickets respectively, bowling out Sri Lanka for a frugal total. Bangladesh's bowlers displayed remarkable precision and skill to keep the pressure on Sri Lankan batters, picking up crucial wickets at regular intervals
Chasing the target, Bangladesh were given a brilliant start by batter Tanzid Hasan who scored (84) off (81). Despite facing early setbacks and losing wickets at regular intervals, Bangladesh remained steady in their chase, with key contributions coming from their middle-order batters. Mushfiqur Rahim and Rishad Hossain remained unbeaten on (37) and (48) respectively, leading the team over the the line in (40.2) overs.
