BAN vs ZIM T20Is: Tanzid receives maiden call-up in Bangladesh’s squad for first three matches

Bangladesh have named their squad for the first three T20Is of the five-match series against Zimbabwe, scheduled to begin on 3rd May with the first game at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, Chattogram. 

Mohammad Saifuddin has been incorporated into Bangladesh’s squad for the first time since last playing for Bangladesh in T20Is in 2022. Saifuddin was out of action due to a back injury, having  recently made his return to action playing BPL. Tanzid Hasan has been handed a maiden call, having had decent success in ODIs. 

Mustafizur Rahim has been left out of the squad for first three games as he is in India playing Indian Premier League for CSK, and he is set to be in Bangladesh on 2nd May. Veteran Shakib Al Hasan too is not in the squad for the first three games. Najmul Hossain Shanto will be leading Bangladesh.
