LPL 2024: Unbeaten Galle Marvels square off against Jaffna Kings

It’s been a terrific start to the season for Galle Marvels, having recorded two victories on the trot in their first two games of the ongoing Lanka Premier League. They have played wonderful cricket so far with two back-to-back victories. Now, Galle Marvels are set to meet Jaffna Kings on Friday at Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium, Dambulla in their second meeting in a span of two days. Both Galle Marvels and Jaffna Kings faced each other in the second match of the tournament on Tuesday where Galle Marvels beat the kings by five wickets. Marvels’ second victory came against Colombo Strikers on Wednesday in the fifth match of the tournament.
Jaffna Kings, after a slow start, bounced back, registering their victory against Dambulla Sixers in the fourth match of the tournament on Wednesday. Going into this match, Jaffna Kings would look forward to maintaining their winning momentum and eye their second victory in the tournament.
Avishka Fernando and Charith Asalanka were the key forces behind Jaffna’s victory against Dambulla Sixers, blazing 80 and 50 respectively. Overall, both Galle Marvels and Jaffna Kings are coming off victories and would look to have upper hand in their upcoming clash.
