Indian young guns knock down Bangladesh to take 1-0 lead
In an impressive showing of skill and determination, new-look India thrashed Bangladesh in the first T20I match on Sunday in Gwalior, taking a 1-0 lead in the three-match series. India were brimmed with confidence from the get-go, dominating Bangladesh with both bat and ball. The enigmatic bowling from Indian bowlers Arshdeep Singh and Varun Chakaravarthy helped the side bowl out Bangladesh for a mere 127 runs after opting to field first.
After being put to bat, Bangladesh hoping to set a competitive total, were bundled out real quick, with no batter showing signs of resistance. They faced relentless pressure from the Indian bowling attack. Indian bowlers meanwhile consistently targeted wickets, leading to early breakthroughs that set the tone for the innings. Bangladesh struggled to build partnerships, and wickets fell at regular intervals, leaving the hosts reeling.
Chasing 128 runs for victory, India wasted no time asserting their dominance. Indian batsmen came out aggressively, taking advantage of the powerplay. With a flurry of boundaries from Sanju Samson, India quickly settled into their innings, making the chase look effortless. With the help of collective batting efforts, India reached the total in just 11.5 overs for the loss of three wickets.
