News

As the ongoing Women’s T20I World Cup heats up, the stage is set for a massive semi-final clash between Australia Women and South Africa Women. The match will be held at Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Dubai. The final spot is on the line as both teams gear up for a must-win battle.

There is no confirmation on the availability of Australian skipper Alyssa Healy, who missed the match against India and was seen on crutches. She also didn’t participate in the optional training session on Tuesday.

South Africa Women have been on an upward trajectory in the tournament, fielding the same set of XI in the all four matches they have played. Their performance has been significantly impressive, making them formidable opponents. Heading into this game, they will be hoping for a positive outcome to move forward in the tournament.

Australia Women, on the other hand, will bank on their consistent performers Ellyse Perry and Beth Mooney. If Alyssa Healy misses out, Australia will need their top-class players to fire on all cylinders. Australian bowlers have also been in sublime form, with the likes of Sophie Molineux, Megan Schutt, and Darcie Brown delivering fine performances.
