IPL 2025 Mega Auction Day 2: Williamson, Shardul Thakur go unsold, Marco Jansen snapped up by PBKS

As the day two of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 mega auction in Jeddah got underway, it delivered some dramatic twists as three of the highly talented stars Kane Williamson, Shardul Thakur and Glenn Phillips went unsold. While, Washington Sundar and Sam Curran were sold to Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings for INR 3.20 crore and INR 2.40 crore respectively.
GT started the bid for Washington Sundar and they had little tussle with LSG before securing the bid as LSG opted out. South African allrounder Marco Jansen was acquired by PBKS for INR 7 crore, while Krunal Pandya was bought by Royal Challengers Bengaluru for INR 5.75 crore. Meanwhile, Ajinkya Rahane and Prithvi Shaw also went unsold.
