Starc picks fifer as DC decimate Sunrisers Hyderabad

Delhi Capitals continued their strong form in the ongoing Indian Premier League with a stunning seven-wicket victory over Sunrisers Hyderabad on Sunday in Visakhapatnam. The win marked Capitals’ second successive victory in the tournament, further establishing them as one of the favorites for the title.
The standout performance of the match came from Australian pacer Mitchell Starc, who delivered a sensational bowling display to dismantle SRH’s batting lineup. Starc's exceptional bowling helped DC bowl SRH out for a modest total of 163 runs in just 18.4 overs. He finished the match with a remarkable five-wicket haul.
Alongside Starc, Kuldeep Yadav also made a significant impact with the ball. Yadav claimed three wickets. The combined efforts of Starc and Yadav set the stage for DC’s victory.
In response to SRH’s total, DC batters displayed an aggressive approach, chasing down the target with 24 balls to spare. The openers, Faf du Plessis and Jake Fraser-McGurk, made a flying start to the chase, putting SRH’s bowlers under pressure right from the outset. du Plessis helped with a vital half-century, while Jake Fraser-McGurk played a remarkable knock of 38 runs.
As the chase progressed, SRH, meanwhile, managed to pick up a couple of quick wickets, but DC remained unfazed. Abishek Porel walked in at a crucial moment and played a vital knock of 34 runs to lead the side to victory. DC scored 166/3 in 16 overs. Earlier, SRH had decided to bat after winning the toss.
