IPL 2025: Winless MI look to turn the screw at Wankhede fortress

Having experienced a horrible start to their IPL 2025 campaign, winless Mumbai Indians are set to host Kolkata Knight Riders on Monday at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Mumbai Indians are yet to find their winning formula this season. With back-to-back defeats in their first two matches, they are in dire need of a victory to restore confidence in the camp.
The five-time champions have been rocked by the dismal performances by their openers Rohit Sharma and Ryan Rickelton, who both haven’t been able to provide strong starts in either of the last two games. Even, their seasoned bowlers Trent Boult and Deepak Chahar have been unable to stifle opposition in the powerplay. Heading into this crucial match against KKR, Mumbai Indians will be hoping for a turnaround in their fortunes, with their experienced players needing to step up to the challenge.
On the other hand, KKR have bounced back after a rocky start to the season. After a tough defeat in their opening match, they found their rhythm in the subsequent game, securing a well-earned victory. Their comeback victory must have injected much-needed confidence into the squad, and they will be looking to carry this momentum into their clash against Mumbai.
