Karn Sharma lifts MI to statement win

Karn Sharma rose to the occasion as Mumbai Indians pulled off a sensational come-from-behind 12-run victory against Delhi Capitals on Sunday at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
Karn Sharma came out with a brilliant spell, claiming three crucial wickets that turned the game on its head. Chasing a challenging target of 206, Delhi looked well on course for victory, but Mumbai’s experienced bowling attack held their nerve under pressure to clinch a narrow win.
After Mumbai posted a competitive 205/5 in 20 overs, anchored by Tilak Varma’s steady 59, Delhi Capitals came out with intent. Karun Nair was at his best, bludgeoning 89 runs and threatening to take the match away from Mumbai. DC appeared to be in control and on track for a comfortable chase.
However, the turning point came when Nair was dismissed by Mitchell Santner, triggering a dramatic collapse. Later, Karn Sharma’s disciplined bowling sparked the fightback by removing key DC batsmen in quick succession. Jasprit Bumrah and Deepak Chahar provided crucial support, picking up one wicket each, as DC were bowled out for 193 in 19 overs.
