IPL 2025: Punjab eye playoffs as RR play for pride

The 59th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 is set to be a compelling encounter between Rajasthan Royals and Punjab Kings on Sunday at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. While Rajasthan are playing for pride and to build for the next season, Punjab Kings are aiming to solidify their position in the playoffs.
Royals have faced a challenging season, winning only three of their twelve matches. Currently languishing at the bottom of the points table, their focus will now be on identifying positives and laying the groundwork for the next season.
On the other hand, Punjab Kings, sitting third in the points table, are in a strong position to make it to the playoffs. However, they will be without some of their international stars due to international commitments. Despite these absences, PBKS would hope that their available players rise to the occasion and help the side boost their chances for playoffs.
