IPL 2025, GT vs LSG: Marsh’s vital ton guides LSG to commanding win

Demonstrating an incredibly dazzling display of power hitting, Lucknow Super Giants clinched a commanding 33-run win over Gujarat Titans on Thursday in Ahmedabad. Asked to bat, LSG unleashed an all-out assault on GT’s bowling attack, posting a mammoth total of 235/2 in 20 overs.
The innings was anchored by a pulsating knock from Mitchell Marsh, who notched up his maiden IPL century, blazing 117 off 64 deliveries. Destructive Marsh tore into GT’s bowling attack, slamming eight sixes and ten boundaries. Complementing Marsh was Nicholas Pooran, who played a crucial supporting role with a rapid-fire 56* off just 27 balls.
Chasing the target, GT found themselves under pressure from the outset. Their usually reliable top three batters - Sai Sudharsan, Shubman Gill and Jos Buttler - failed to provide the start they needed, losing early wickets and struggling to build momentum. Shahrukh Khan attempted to steady the innings, scoring an impressive 57. But GT managed 202/9 in 20 overs.
