Ajinkya Rahane suggests one change for fourth Test

Indian veteran Ajinkya Rahane has enunciated that India should make one change to their playing XI for the fourth Test against England in Manchester starting July 23. The fourth test is a do-or-die battle for India to stage their comeback in the five-match series, having already lost two of the first three games. They suffered alarming losses in the first and third matches to fall 1-2 behind in the series. Now, with fired-up England showing dominance on home soil, India would aim for a staggering show to level the series 2-2. Sharing his opinion, Ajinkya Rahane felt India should go with one extra bowler because batting has been absolutely amazing.

"We all know that Day 4 and 5 get slightly difficult to bat on. It's not easy to score runs. Yes, England bowled really well. But I felt India missed an opportunity to get that big score on the board in the first innings. And also, I feel going forward, India should look to add one extra bowler — because you're going to win a Test match or a Test series by getting 20 wickets," Rahane said on his YouTube channel.

Rahane lauded England skipper Ben Stokes for his outstanding fielding, which he believed shifted the momentum in England’s favour. Ben Stokes showed agility in the field when he ran out Pant on 74 with an excellent direct hit.

"It's very easy for the fielder to get relaxed. When you see only two or three balls left before lunch, you can easily get relaxed. But his attitude towards the ball, his intensity, and getting that run-out — that's where I felt England came into the game,” he said.
