Australian great Brett Lee has shared his thoughts on the recent showdown between India and Pakistan in the World Championships of Legends (WCL), which was called off after a few Indian players pulled out of the game. The decision by Indian players to pull out of the contest follows the recent conflict between both nations. Ahead of the match, which was set to be played on June 20 at Edgbaston, WCL released a statement confirming that the India-Pakistan game had been called off.

"That is a tough question. But the thing I'll say right is, I love India, I love Pakistan. So I hope that they can get to a discretion where they can appreciate themselves. But most importantly, we are here on a tournament. So Australia versus India versus South Africa. We are all inclusive. So what happened last night is what happened. We pushed for it," Brett Lee said while speaking to reporters.

Meanwhile, the ongoing edition of the WCL got underway on July 18 in Birmingham, and three matches have been played so far in the league. Pakistan, playing the opening game, beat England, while the second game between West Indies and South Africa ended in a tie. The third match between India and Australia produced no result due to rain. India are being led by Yuvraj Singh, while Mohammad Hafeez is leading Pakistan.
