Asia Cup 2025 set to begin on September 9, fixtures, dates

The men's Asia Cup 2025 is set to be held from September 9 to September 28 in the UAE, with India and Pakistan drawn in Group A. Their group‑stage meeting is scheduled for September 14 with the possibility of up to two additional clashes should both teams reach the final. For the first time, the mega event will be played in the T20I format and will have eight teams.

Asian Cricket Council chairman Mohsin Naqvi, took to ‘X’ to make the announcement.

“I am delighted to confirm the dates of the ACC Men’s Asia Cup 2025 in UAE. The prestigious tournament will take place from September 9th to 28th. We look to a spectacular display of cricket. Details schedule will be out soon,” Naqvi posted.

In Group A, apart from India and Pakistan, Oman and host UAE also feature. Group B includes Bangladesh, Hong Kong, Afghanistan and Sri Lanka. India will head into the tournament as the defending champion, having won the tournament in the 2023 edition.

September 15 - Group B - Sri Lanka vs Hong Kong

September 16 - Group B - Bangladesh vs Afghanistan

September 17 - Group A - Pakistan vs UAE

September 18 - Group B - Sri Lanka vs Afghanistan

September 19 - Group A - India vs Oman
